This will be the first full NHL season since the start of the pandemic, and I, for one, am very excited.
Although last season was abbreviated, the 56 game schedule was enough to get a good idea for an average goals per game number. However, you should keep in mind that the teams were grouped together in ways that were much different from a normal seasons. There were teams that were matched up against each other that they would not experience in a normal season.
For those who are using my NHL Road Dog System from my book More Sports and Horse Racing Betting Systems That Work!, or from the book, Betting Systems for all Major Sports, the following is the value of one goal for the 2021-22 season.
Average goals per game/per team for 2021 was 2.94. This is a bit of a drop-off from previous years, but this may have more lot to do with the schedule than anything else.
Dividing a dollar by 2.94 goals is 0.34 or 34 cents per goal.
Good luck!
